This month, we proudly celebrate Harry Rheeder, a man whose life story speaks to determination, talent, and quiet strength. Born in Usakos, Harry’s journey with music began at a very young age, sparked by a simple toy piano. What started as curiosity soon grew into a lifelong passion that would shape his purpose.

Despite being visually impaired, Harry never allowed his circumstances to limit his dreams. Instead, he leaned into his gift and developed into a skilled pianist whose music has touched audiences across Namibia. His talent and commitment led him to feature on the popular UN75 song Better Tomorrow, alongside various Namibian artists, contributing to a message of unity and hope.
Beyond music, Harry is a devoted family man, married and blessed with a daughter. He has also invested in his personal growth, obtaining a tertiary qualification in radio and television broadcasting. This reflects his desire not only to be heard through music, but also to communicate, inform, and inspire through media.
Harry Rheeder’s story reminds us that purpose is stronger than limitation, and that with passion, support, and perseverance, dreams can grow into impact. We honour him for representing resilience, creativity, and the power of believing in yourself.
